Dr Patrice CHRISTMANN started his career in 1970 as a geologist at the Ministry of Natural Resources for the Québec Province (Canada). He joined the French Geological Survey (BRGM) in 1977 and has developed top level expertise in mineral raw materials related economics, strategies and policies within BRGM since then. He was twice seconded to Brussels, once to the European Commission as National Seconded Expert (1997-2000) and once as General Secretary of EuroGeoSurveys, the association of European Geological Surveys (2004-2005). Since 2010 he is the Deputy Strategy Director of BRGM as well as a member of the United Nations International Resources Panel. Patrice holds a PhD in Geosciences from and an executive degree from ESCP Europe Business School.
